Johnathan 'JJ' Clements got his season off to the perfect start with two wins on the Silverstone International circuit over the weekend.

The 23 year-old from Hinckley will be delighted to top the fledgling points table but he knows that a very competitive season lies ahead with several drivers putting in eye-catching performances.

Second and third in the first race 'A' group race were Martin Tolley and Charlie Charman. Tolley dropped a place in the second outing and was replaced in second by Alan Henderson.

Simon Goddard won the first 'B' group race in impressive style from Jake Simpson with the debutant Lewis Field. James Blake-Baldwin was the fastest in free practice and the qualifying session but a DNF in the first 'A' group race meant the Farnham racer was demoted to the 'B' group for the second tour. James was quick to make amends winning by almost seven seconds from Simon Baldwin with Chris Hart in third.

A full report on all the Silverstone action will be available later this week.

The next meeting is a 'triple-header' at Anglesey on 10/11th May so there will be plenty of points up for grabs!
